How it all started

Genesis 1:1-13
In the beginning (YHWH) God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
And God said "Let there be light," and there was light. And God saw the light was good. And He separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and morning, the first day.

And God said "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters." And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were underneath from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so. And He called the expanse Heaven, And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.

And God said "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so. God called the dry land Earth and the waters that were gathered He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

And God said "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth." And it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plats yielding seed according to their own kind, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind.. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.

I don't know if you're familiar with how everything began, but here is the account of the first three days that ever was on the earth. As you can see there were plants made on the third day, before any man or animal were here and in need of plants (spoiler: living beings, including Man was made on the 5th and 6th days- first fish and birds on the 5th, then land animals and Man on the 6th. YHWH, in His wisdom, created plants for the ones who would later be created to need plants).

So here we are, thousands of years later, in need of plants. We use cotton and linen still to clothe ourselves and make all kinds of things we wear and use in our environment on a daily basis, not to mention eating plants and feeding plants to our animals that we also can consume, dyeing our clothes and furnishings, and healing us when we need it. They are vital to the existence of man and YHWH made it to be so. So here I want to share some things I have learned over the years about plants.

I want to preface anything I share here with this: I have felt wholly unqualified to share anything with anyone because I have no special training in anything- just a woman who has picked weeds, planted gardens, and gleaned fruits off the land for a few decades, raised by people who did the same sometimes. Any knowledge I have comes from YHWH teaching me through observations, other people who wrote books, shared knowledge verbally, and showed me. I can't take any credit for anything I know because I am not self made and knowledge comes from Him.
