Instructions for disease (spoiler: it’s self control)

Some basic common sense ahead. Don’t read it if you are easily offended:

Leviticus 13:45-46

[45] “The leprous person who has the disease shall wear torn clothes and let the hair of his head hang loose, and he shall cover his upper lip and cry out, ‘Unclean, unclean.’ [46] He shall remain unclean as long as he has the disease. He is unclean. He shall live alone. His dwelling shall be outside the camp.

Here is the word for disease:

Hebrew: נגע

Transliteration: nega‛

Pronunciation: neh'-gah

Definition: From H5060; a blow (figuratively infliction); also (by implication) a spot (concretely a leprous person or dress): - {plague} {sore} {stricken} {stripe} {stroke} wound.

KJV Usage: plague (65x), sore (5x), stroke (4x), stripes (2x), stricken (1x), wound (1x).

Occurrences in Bible: 78

Occurrences in verses: 62

So anyone with a sore, including any kind of pox, has instructions for what to do.

I am astonished that the world governments are trying to politicize an illness that is spread by lots of physical contact. I really shouldn’t be though. Rather than expect people to have self control, they would rather have people continue in lascivious behavior that is well known to spread disease than to tell people to stop doing the things that do so. They would rather give them some pharmaceuticals to keep from spreading illness than to say stop doing the thing that spreads illness. I think the shock comes from the zeal the world had over the last two years to keep people from congregating at all to stop the spread of an illness, though it’s been proven that much of the activities that were stopped were not what actually spread the illness. Rather than calling things the way they are (for instance, sex between a man and a woman is the way human beings procreate, therefore if you don’t want to procreate, don’t have sex), they twist words and excuse behavior that has no excuse because people have no self control and are not even expected to have it…. Unless you’re children in school who must sit still 8 hours a day in a mask and not talk to your peers. But adults aren’t expected to have any kind of self control whatsoever these days.
